We carry out structural steelwork projects which include refurbishment, beam and columns, portal frames, lattice girders, hips, valleys, curved steelwork and a combination of all of these.

Our preferred size of project range is 10 tonnes to 150 tonnes but each enquiry is considered on its merit.
Design of steel connections is carried out by an independent Chartered Structural Engineer, fabrication and layout drawings are prepared onĀ  3D detailing systems and fabrication is carried out using the latest automated CNC machinery. After the steelwork is shot blasted a variety of paint primers can be applied including galvanising where specified.

For all fabricated structural steelwork delivered to site from 1 July 2014, there is a legal requirement under the CPR that it is CE Marked.

In order to achieve this, the client or Main Contractor should appoint a steelwork contractor with an Execution Class equal to that required for the project, as determined by BS EN 1090-1. It should be noted that steelwork contractors with EXC3 capability can be used for EXC1, 2, & 3; and a steelwork contractor with EXC2 capability can only be used for EXC1 & 2.

Knight and Butler are able to supply steelwork to EXC1 and EXC2.
